Her Song is Sung
I created this film as part of the Kino Guarimba film residency taking place in Amantea, Italy. As part of this residency, I was challenged to create a short film of less than 10 minutes. I chose to create a horror film based on a character carrying out a summoning ritual and exploring the repercussions of this action.
Bella Ciao
Within this early work, I was starting to explore ideas of light, and how perhaps this light can be manipulated and shaped to create an aesthetic look of the video. Also, this film allowed me to really tie in audio in order to build tension and effect.
Discovery
Within this work, I am bringing together my poetry with my visual art as I feel this really allows each creative element to stand out, when they are combined.
Wading through days,
Days it seems become weeks,
Yet the nature of this metamorphosis
Sitting outside what is known.
Becoming that which was destined,
At first seems clear as a bright star.
Wait , however, for first you must travel.
Further and further inside,
Further through shouts and screams,
Further in that chasm between
Mind and mine.
Only once you spot
That shine, that rare prism of life.
Only then, you are you,
And not you as them.
